Types of Audits
Delivery Verification Audit – aka Verification Audit, Buying Guideline Compliance Audit
An analysis of media delivery against in-going goals and/or guarantees or buying guidelines.
The result of this type of audit is verification of the delivery of key audience metrics to ensure agreed upon goals are met and to identify if ADUs or credits were issued or are due.
This type of audit would analyze spot by spot records to identify violations to restricted program lists, double spotting, competitive separation, excluded times (e.g.: after 1am), spots running out of approved flights, etc.
Cost recovery may be possible when delivery gaps exist, assuming buying guidelines have been properly communicated to the media when the order was placed.
